SKATING ANALYSIS
Correct skating technique is imperative to hockey success. HDC San Diego Skating Analysis features technology supported by AI, where we capture a player’s movement, analyze and evaluate their precision, and then generate a report to identify areas that need improvement.
Based on the results, our trainers will recommend appropriate drills and exercises to help players perfect their stride, and will suggest appropriate training plans.

FITNESS DIAGNOSTIC
Intended for athletes to gain a comprehensive overview of their general fitness level, our Basic Fitness Diagnostic includes specialized physical testing of each player in an off-ice environment to determine elements such as balance, agility, and explosiveness.
Based on the evaluation, the athlete will receive a personalized report, along with recommendations for a customized training plan.
Diagnostics are suggested at the beginning and end of a training program to show visible and measurable improvement, and are included in strength programs at HDC San Diego.
SKATING PROGRAM
A highly specialized hockey skating program designed to focus on a player’s skating technique and improve their stride. Players will receive individualized training on the skatemill based on their diagnostic Skating Analysis results.
Other special tools to help players elevate their game include Live Delay, which provides delayed video feedback to the player, the laser system, and Instructor, designed to provide specific exercises to shore up weaknesses in the player’s stride.
As athletes advance to higher levels of development, tools including Peripheral Navigation, Stride Power (15+), and Shooter may be used to help players master stickhandling and shooting in perfect stride while pushing their conditioning levels.
